Yusk can’t reach the limit with his cherry picker…the building is too high…!! Gekkenwerk. Testing the limit of the machine, it seems it can drop backwards any moment very scary! But he doesn’t desist and works very fast to catch up with time…

GAIS rocking!

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

And ofcourse it is time to check out what is going on at the NAi, because although we had the official opening the 1st of August, the work is still in process… Gais is rocking, totally changed his lifestyle, is waking up (relatively) early and works at least until 10 pm. The final touch is almost…he might might come with one of his misterious surprises….

This wall is amazingly huge!

Horoiwas fast proceeding…looking back…

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

Horoiwa is working steadily towards the end of his huge painting. Everyday he starts early and works in a constant rythm, sometimes taking a short break, looking from a distance…sometimes just sitting in his cherry picker, observing it all from a higher prespective…

What happened to Dalata?!

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Packed with a beamer, 20m. of electric cable, Aron, private camera man Gustavinho, rols of tape and black transparant spray…Dalata went on his way to his wall in the Boomgaardhof to sketch the first lines…

In Brazil we have an old saying that goes “não tenha os olhos maiores do que a barriga” which basically means don’t have an appetite bigger then your stomach. Well, the graffiti artists found that to be true now that they got a closer look at the walls. Datala for instance, didn’t realize how much the cherry pick elevator shakes around when it moves.

Yusk only found out how big his wall really was when the 27 meter high elevator, when fully elevated, wasn´t anywhere near the top of his wall. But in Brazil we also have a saying that goes, “missão dada, missão cumprida”, and if you translate that, you got ” mission given, mission acomplished, so lets get to work!

Descendo o rolo…Onio

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Onio with his “ritimo frenéticio” already started… What!?
Onio…what are you doing there???

It is not easy to get rid of complaining neighbours, an elevator that doens’t work…
or no…
an elevator that suddenly disappears… totally gone…
BUT no worries…
Just “desce o rolo…”
frenético mano!
